BB-8 and the Missing Falcon Parts

About the Project

Recently, I conducted a workshop at my college where I taught students how to create the classic Unity game “Roll A Ball” using Unreal Engine. The workshop was attended by approximately 16 students. Following the workshop, we organized a game jam, where participants were encouraged to build upon the basic “Roll A Ball” game and add their own creative touch. For my entry, I developed a game called “BB8 and the Missing Falcon Parts.” While retaining the core ball movement mechanics, I customized the appearance of the ball to resemble BB8 and enhanced the movement to provide a more immersive experience. In this iteration of the game, players assume the role of BB8 and embark on a quest to locate various parts scattered throughout the city. The ultimate objective is to collect all the parts so that the pit droid can restore the Millennium Falcon to its former glory.

Controls

For this game, the player can control BB8 by using WASD and ESC to close the game.
